Working as personal loan consultant?

I just got offered a position as a personal loan consultant with a national company lender. I am seeking anyone who is a loan consultant and tell me what do you like and dislike about your career.

I am a loan officer and am doing well!!! I live in Texas and our housing market is strong still, unlike California and the like. We also do MFH so we have a nitch market. I would recomend finding your own realtors right off and look for places that nobody else would bother with....small towns and the like....I realtors first then wooed dealers I make a nice living.

would you be considered a loan officer? Loan consultant is just a pretty name. I have been in the mortgage business for 7 yrs now. I have been a loan officer and if that%26#039;s what you will be, be ready for a slow yr. You have to build your pipeline up from scratch and the market is crap. Don%26#039;t do it!!!
